Meadows Header

To all who are spiritually weary and seek rest; to all who mourn and long for comfort; to all who struggle and desire victory; to all who sin and need a Savior; to all who are strangers and want fellowship; to all who hunger and thirst after righteousness; and to all who will come, this church opens wide her door and offers welcome in the name of the Risen Lord Jesus Christ.

This Winter at Meadows

For Such a Time as This…

Please join us for this challenging Sunday School class led by our Stephens Ministry Team. The 14 week class which runs from January 8th - April 9th will be looking at ways to become more equipped as Christ’s disciples to meet the needs of those in our lives who are undergoing seasons of difficulty. The topics include Hospitalization, Death and Dying, Divorce, Long Term Care, Aging, and Spirituality.

Prayer Connection

Meadows offers an opportunity to knit our congregation together through prayer. Participating adults agree to pray daily for children in a specific family in our church. Our goal is that each child would have at least one grown-up in the congregation praying for them by name each day.
For more info, contact Mike Weiglein, Director of Youth and Children’s Ministries.

Studies & Circles & Small Groups (Oh MY!)

There is no better way to grow in our faith than by actively taking part in a small group setting. Meadows offers many opportunities for this through:

Presbyterian Women’s Circles (contact Linda Powell) which meet monthly.

Weekly Men’s Brown Bag Bible Study which meets Wednesdays at the church from 12-1 pm; led by our pastor and currently studying 1 Peter. Contact Pastor Tom Goodrich at the church office.

Monthly Men’s Breakfast. First Saturday of every month at the church at 9:00 am. Come sample Chef Jim Hicks’ hearty breakfasts!

Small Groups. One of the outgrowths of our fall 40 Days of Purpose has been the creation of some ongoing weekly small groups. Couples and women’s groups are currently meeting.  Please contact Wendell Bonham or Mark Keck.

Katrina Relief

Meadows is looking toward participating in spring and summer trips to help in relief efforts in the Gulf area after Hurricane Katrina. Contact Wendell Bonham or Bill Stackhouse. Monetary contributions can be made through Meadows Presbyterian Church with a designation for Katrina Relief through the Presbytery of the James.
